If you were watching the NASCAR Daytona 500 this month, you saw the freak accident that occurred at the end of the race. Juan Pablo Montoya lost control of his No. 42 Target Chevrolet, slid sideways and crashed into a Service Master truck carrying a load of jet fuel. The result was a massive explosion as 200 gallons of fuel burst into flames. While no one was hurt in the accident, the track may have suffered some damage.

Closer to home, some of our ServiceMaster All Care team and about 60 guests enjoyed a beautiful weekend on the Perch, overlooking the track at the Phoenix International Raceway. We got to watch Darian Grubb take the victory at the Sprint Cup Race.

It was a great time cheering on our favorite drivers!

Nick Smith has recently earned his Applied Microbial Restoration Technician (AMRT) certification and is this month's spotlight employee!

The AMRT certification is offered only by The Institute for Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) to professionals who successfully complete courses that teach mold and sewage remediation techniques for property management, property restoration, and Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) investigations.

The course includes classroom study as well as hands-on training. The AMRT certification is earned by attending an IICRC approved four-day course and passing a comprehensive AMRT exam. The prerequisite is the IICRC Water Restoration Technicians certification. AMRS certification is earned after meeting three additional qualifications, including:

- One year of field experience
- Completing the IICRC Health and Safety Technician certification
- OSHA 10-Hour Safety Course, or comparable safety training
- Completing 10 verified microbial remediation projects or working 1,000 hours on a verified microbial remediation project(s)

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification is a non-profit certifying body for the flooring inspection, floor covering and specialized fabric cleaning, and disaster restoration industry. Its primary mission is to set standards within the cleaning, inspection, and restoration industry and promote ethics, communication and technical proficiency. Companies and employees who have undergone training and seminars with the IICRC are respected by their customers and industry peers. They receive training in the newest techniques and information on the latest products. When consumers are informed that they have hired companies or employees who have undergone training with the IICRC, they can be assured that they have hired experts who will ensure that services will be completed in accordance with the industry’s highest standards.

ServiceMaster All Care Restoration is proud to be IICRC certified!

Serious rain didn’t delay the first NASCAR race on the new Phoenix International Raceway race for long! After about two hours of drying the track we were off to the races!

Earlier this month, ServiceMaster All Care, along with about 36 of our closest friends and customers, got up close and personal with driver Kasey Kahne, in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 500 at Phoenix International Raceway.

We had the privilege of getting to know Kasey before the race at a private Q and A and autograph signing (see picture above), and then watching him win the race (picture below)! Way to go, Kasey!

ServiceMaster Clean Yellow Flag Caution Period endorsed by Richard Petty and son Kyle.

ServiceMaster Clean, the first-ever official sponsor of the caution period during races at International Speedway Corporation (ISC) and Speedway Motorsports Incorporated (SMI) race tracks, made its official debut at the 51 st annual Daytona 500. When there is a problem on the track, the ServiceMaster Clean Yellow Flag will wave, and the company’s familiar yellow trucks will be dispatched to clean the track.

In racing, a yellow flag means time to clean up the track. Debris removal and track drying must be done quickly and professionally in order to get back to racing. In homes and businesses across North America, a yellow ServiceMaster Clean van means cleaning and restoration is being done quickly and professionally by America’s number one cleaning team.
