ServiceMaster All Care Restoration will pack out all furnishings, clean, restore and re-pack, and provide storage until your home or business is restored and ready for its contents to be delivered. Our technicians will provide you with a detailed inventory of your belongings, carefully and professionally package your belongings, effectively clean and deodorize the premises, and store anything, if necessary.

Onsite Cleaning Services

Onsite cleaning can usually be performed with small fires with minimal soot  build up. Our professional technicians will clean all of your possessions on-site as well as perform any necessary structural cleaning.

Pack Out and Content Restoration

Our content restoration service brings you peace of mind after a fire disaster. Our trained technicians carefully pack and clean all belongings, restoring them as much as possible.

Pack Out Services

In some instances, personal belongings and furnishings need to be removed from the premises so that necessary structural repairs can begin. In the insurance industry, this type of loss is called a “pack out.”  If this is necessary, our trained technicians carefully assess the premises for any concerns before beginning the pack out. Then they carefully and professionally remove personal property from the premises in order to prevent any additional damage.

Pack Out Process

Every fire loss situation has its own unique characteristics and requires specialized attention and service to provide the best care possible. However, below are some of the usual steps required in a typical fire pack out:

  1. The pack out of the residence or business will be documented by both photo and video, allowing documentation of contents and furniture and ensuring that all items are returned back to their original location once repairs are completed.
  2. Emergency items such as medications, clothing, pet items, eyeglasses, etc. are identified before the beginning of the pack out.
  3. Keep all cash, credit cards, jewelry, checkbooks, medications, personal documents, valuable collections and personal weapons separate from the pack out.
  4. ServiceMaster All Care Restoration will identify items requiring special handling such as: family heirlooms, art, photos, area rugs, sentimental and/or work related items. We work with the most reputable experts in their field to ensure your items are restored back to their pre-loss condition.
  5. Standard moving industry boxes, packing materials and supplies are used to pack the contents and protect the furniture goods in transport, as well as in storage.
  6. After the boxed items and furniture has been assessed, inventoried and tagged at the job site, we will provide you with a copy of the general inventory. The items are then transported back to our plant and storage facility and placed in secure storage vaults.
  7. We use a proprietary chain of custody computer tracking system (MSM) which accurately inventories and tracks your belongings with a bar code. We are then able to track your good throughout the entire phase of the project.
  8. Begin the restoration process of all boxed items and furniture.  This process includes cleaning, deodorizing, repairing or servicing.  Once this process is complete, boxed items will be repacked and furniture will be rewrapped.
  9. Any belongings that are not able to be restored, we will list, document and store, if needed.
  10. The items are then placed back into the secure storage vaults until the repairs or reconstruction is completed and they can be moved back into the home or business.

Additional Cleaning Services

  • Hand-Washing and Drying
    Items are carefully cleaned by hand. Special care is taken to use dry methods with water-sensitive items.
  • Ultrasonic Cleaning
    We use ultrasonic tanks to clean certain items such as blinds, collectibles, and other small contents. The ultrasonic process is similar to the process a jeweler uses to clean jewelry; the sonic vibrations help to gently remove soot to minimize handling of items to prevent damage.
  • Restoration Laundry/ Dry Cleaning
    This service is performed by a restoration dry cleaner because fire damage requires a special form of dry cleaning. (Includes inventory control and documentation of clothing and textiles, including bedding, window coverings, etc.)
  • Furniture and Upholstery Cleaning
    This service is performed by technicians trained in furniture restoration and  requires our specialty equipment.
  • Separate Items
    In the event there are any items we are unable to clean or restore, we will work with you and your insurance claim representative.

Insurance Coverage

In many cases, pack outs may be covered by your insurance policy if you sustain a covered loss. It is best to contact your insurance carrier to determine if coverage may apply to your loss. We work with all insurance companies should you have a covered loss under your homeowners or commercial policy. Ultimately, the property owner is responsible for the payment.
